The Heart of the Caribbean cruise travels for eight exciting days beginning in San Juan, Puerto Rico.Everyday is filled with exciting adventures and activities on and off the ship.

Oranjestad, Aruba is the first place the ship docks. It is located on the southern coast of the Caribbean. The very important city of Aruba, Oranjestad, is the Dutch capital and it means “Orangetown.”. You will enjoy the Dutch colonial architecture which is colorful and delightful. Here you can explore the island and see many wonderful sights such as the California Lighthouse by caravan. Oranjestad also has beautiful beaches and snorkeling is a great adventure.

Off the Venezuelan coast at Willemstad, Curacao is where the ship will stop next. Curacao is the largest and most populated of three “ABC Islands” (Aruba, Bonaire, and Curacao).  Though it gained autonomy from the Netherlands in 1954 there is still a strong Dutch influence in the culture and architecture. While in Willemstad you won’t want to mess exploring the Hato Caves and underground lake. This underground world is quite an amazing sight to see. Some find the trolley-train enjoyable to take.

Philipsburg, Saint Maarten is the next stop. This island is split into the Dutch side and the French side. The Dutch side of the island is well known for its beaches and festive night life. The French side of the Caribbean is known for its nude beaches and clothing stores to shop in. Because of the many duty-free shops the island is known as a shopper’s paradise. You can find shops for designer clothes, art, jewelry, lather goods, and crafts here.

Saint Thomas, Virgin Islands is the last stop for this fabualous cruise. Purchased by the United States, Saint Thomas has so much to offer. Here the shopping is excellent, the dining is magnificent, and the white sandy beaches are breathtaking. In Saint Thomas the view of Magens Bay is stunning from Drakes Seat. You won’t want to miss that.
